Remember the old days? When it came to wedding flowers you had two choices, real or plastic. Plastic really looked fake so there really wasn't much of a choice. But today's silk wedding flowers, if chosen carefully look so natural it takes a well trained eye to tell the difference. In addition to their natural look, they save money, can be made up in advance, and will continue to maintain there beauty throughout the years. Why would you want to use anything else?

Personally I think silk is a great choice. My wife and I used them in our wedding and we still have the wedding flowers and bouquets.

Recently I gave my doctor a silk orchid as a gift. Her face lit up when she saw it, but thinking it was live, she quickly noted that she couldn’t keep it in her office because some of her patients might be allergic to it. When I told her it was silk, she was amazed and so pleased.
Silk flowers and plants have come a long way from the fake, plastic ones that first made the scene many years ago. I wish I could have had a silk bouquet for my wedding in 1968; it would’ve made a wonderful keepsake.

I wish that someone would have given me the advice on using silk flowers for my wedding! I paid for it myself, and my bouquet alone cost me $300. By the time I got home from the wedding night’s stay at a hotel it was turning brown, past the point of preserving it! Someone also should have adviced me on relaxing and avoiding tense muscles by getting a theraputic massage before AND after the wedding! After wasting $300 on my bouquet, I was so upset and tense the whole honeymoon!
